DiaMonTech has been awarded 1st prize at the prestigious health-i award 2024, co-hosted by Techniker Krankenkasse and Handelsblatt. The award, now in its ninth year, recognizes innovative healthcare solutions that push the boundaries of medical technology. DiaMonTech stood out for its trailblazing non-invasive glucose monitoring technology, which uses an infrared laser to measure blood sugar levels through the skin—eliminating the need for finger pricks. This advancement promises to significantly improve the quality of life for people with diabetes.

The health-i award spotlights startups driving key trends in healthcare, such as personalization and miniaturization. DiaMonTech is at the forefront of this movement with a shoebox-sized device and a more portable smartphone-sized version called the D-Pocket set for release in 2026. DiaMonTech is also collaborating with Samsung  to develop a miniaturized smartwatch sensor, showing its potential to transform diabetes management and digital health.

DiaMonTech's victory marks a significant step forward in both diabetes care and the broader field of medical technology, demonstrating the critical role of innovative startups in shaping the future of health.
