Economic Senator Franziska Giffey (SPD) emphasized the importance of the Deep Tech sector for Berlin's future as an innovation hub in her opening speech.

A highlight of the event was the award given to DiaMonTech AG. In the new category "Photonics & Quantum Technologies," the company impressed the jury with

an innovative non-invasive blood sugar laser. This technology has the potential to improve the lives of millions of diabetics worldwide.

The Deep Tech Awards were presented in several categories to showcase the diversity of technological innovations. With this, Berlin continues to position itself as a growing Deep Tech hub, where groundbreaking products and applications emerge from deep research.
